Barbara Burdge

Barbara Burdge, 88, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025 at her home in West Creek, New Jersey. Barbara was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Roy and Mary Hollis on February 4, 1937. She relocated to Lakewood, NJ at a young age and graduated from Lakewood High School.

Barbara was very kind, generous, loving, and had an unwavering faith in God. She was a talented artist who loved painting, needlepoint, and playing the piano. She was an avid reader and could always be found in her favorite chair absorbed in a novel. She enjoyed the company of her friends and family but most enjoyed time spent with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will missed by the many friends and family who knew and loved her.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Roy and Mary Hollis, and her daughter Debra Chrzanowski. She is survived by her children, Beverly Morey and her husband John of Manahawkin and Scott Burdge of Beachwood. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Sharron Hoffman (Paul), Philip Dingfeld (Sandra), Jay Dingfeld, and Crystal Rodriguez (Oscar) and great-grandchildren, Zachary, Lilly, Eden, Landyn, and Chloe.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will be conducted at 10:00am, Saturday, July 12, 2025 at D'Elia Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 8:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home. The graveside service is at 11:00am.
