Bernardine Frances Gilliotti

Born on April 3, 1952, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Bernardine later made a home in Lakewood, New Jersey. Her lifelong desire to help others was reflected in a career dedicated to serving the community, including her work at Meadowlands Hospital. Bernardine was fierce in every sense of the word. With her love, grace and determination, she was and always will be the rock of our family. Caring for others as if they were her own flesh and blood was something that came naturally to her. If you were ever under her roof you were family. She brought comfort, laughter, and wisdom to those fortunate enough to know her. Her loving spirit and the countless memories she created will remain a cherished blessing to all whose lives she touched.

Bernardine is survived by her devoted spouse, Lawrence Gilliotti Jr.; her loving daughter, Lauren Gilliotti; her brother, Roger McCreesh Sr., of Lakewood; and her niece, Kelli McCreesh Geist, of Middlesex, along with many other family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

During this difficult time, please keep Bernardine's loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. Though words cannot fully express the sorrow of her passing, they also cannot diminish the gratitude for the love, guidance, and beautiful memories she leaves behind.

For those who would like to pay their respects, the family will receive visitors at D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701, on August 26, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
