Carol A. Bodei

Born on February 23, 1943, in Jersey City, NJ, Carol was the beloved daughter of the late Catherine (Dorothy) Kern. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 44 years, Richard Bodei; her son, Richard Bodei Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Deborah Bodei.

Carol is survived by her loving sons Thomas Bodei and his wife Keri, James Bodei and his wife Judy, and William Bodei. She was the cherished grandmother of Nicole Bodei Dillon and her husband Shane, Victoria, TJ, James Jr., Jessica, and David. She is also survived by her brother, Bertram Kern, and sister-in-law, Judy Kern.

Carol enjoyed an active and fulfilling retirement filled with family, friends, and her many passions, including gardening, orchids, crochet and book clubs, and cooking delicious meals for those she loved most. Her warm spirit, strength, and kindness touched everyone who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM at D’Elia Funeral Home, followed by interment at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery.

Carol will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love and gratitude by all who were blessed to know her.
