Colette Orvilla Gioe

Colette O. Gioe, 79, passed away January 16, 2013 at Brick Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Gioe was born in Minnesota and moved to New Jersey where she married and raised her family in Elizabeth and retired to Brick in 2003. For many years she worked for Kean University as a human resources representative. Colette was an avid Mets fan, enjoyed reading and loved her books. Mrs. Gioe was a loving, caring, unselfish, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister and will be greatly missed by all. Mrs. Gioe is predeceased by her son Thomas in 2002. Colette is survived by her husband Anthony, three sons, Michael and his wife Mary Ann, Joseph and his wife Shirlyn and Anthony and his wife Mary, daughter, Mary Anodide and her husband Clement, twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two brothers, Dean and Dennis Koep. Friends may call Friday, January 18, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10AM at the St. Dominic’s Church in Brick. Interment will take place at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia.
