David J. Burns

David J. Burns, age 59, of Whiting, NJ, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Born in Mount Kisco, NY, David was the son of the late Elizabeth and Chet Burns. He was a sales representative for Acosta Sales and Marketing. David was immensely proud of his son Ryan and his accomplishments. He enjoyed sports and rooting against the teams his Dad and brothers cheered for, especially the NY Jets. David is survived by his dear son, Ryan Burns; his siblings, Cynthia Burns, Kathy Bull (Brendan), Laurie Manzi-Burns, Steven M. Burns (Jackie), and Jeffrey Burns (Cheryl); his nieces and nephews, Rashon Burns (Anna), Lester Morris (Christine), Jared Morris, Steven Burns, Jr., Tim Bull (Christa), Kristin Vega (Eric), Louie Manzi, Aidan and Fiona Burns; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; a dear friend and former wife, Denise Nowicki Mack; and several other extended family members and dear friends. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ. His memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. David will be laid to rest with his parents in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood, NJ 08701.
