Doris Florence Mallon

Doris Nicholls Mallon, age 99, of Lakewood, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. Doris was born on the September 10, 1923 in Staten Island, NY Doris graduated from Curtis High School, Staten Island, NY and attended Wagner College, Staten Staten, NY. She lived in Eltingville, Staten Island for 30 years before moving to Barefoot Bay, Florida in 1990. While living on Staten Island, she was Manager and Broker of the Mallon Insurance Agency for 20 years. She moved permanently to the original Leisure Village in Lakewood, NJ in 2003. She is predeceased by her husband William H. Mallon (July 29, 2011) to whom she was married for 66 years. She is survived by her loving children, Virginia Mallon, William Mallon, Maureen Dudics, and Timothy Mallon; and 8 grandchildren, William, Samantha, Sean, Timothy, Daniel, Martin, Alexander and Brooke; and 2 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Lily. Visitation will be Thursday December 1, 2022 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 p.m. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2022, in the Holy Family Church 1139 E. County Line Rd., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Burial will follow in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd., Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
