Edward "Ed" D'Autorio, Sr. age 97, of Lakewood NJ passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corp. during World War II as a Lieutenant. Ed worked many years at the American Can Plant in Union, NJ. He was an avid bowler as well as a Yankee fan. Born in Newark to Louis and Anna (Cocuzza) D’Autorio, Ed had nine siblings: Vincent, Claire, Salvatore, Josephine, August (Gus), Lena, Louis, Joseph, and Nancy. Ed and Doris lived in Piscataway NJ for many years before moving to Lakewood in 1988.
He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-four years, Doris (Martin) D'Autorio.
He is survived by his two devoted sons: Ed Jr. (Patti), and Robert, and one grandson Rich (Josie).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.. at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, with entombment to follow at Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway.
