Elizabeth Marie Kohler, age 96, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Passaic, NJ on November 4, 1916, and was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Mathias Schweighart.
She was raised in Garfield, NJ and had been a resident of Wayne, NJ for 34 years before moving to Toms River 22 years ago. While in Wayne, NJ she held several retail positions, and also served as a hostess for the Essex Lodge in Fairfield, NJ. Elizabeth also was a devoted homemaker, mother, wife, and grandmother. She was a member of the Greenbriar Woodlands Garden Club and the Red Hats.
Wife of the late Rudoph Kohler, who predeceased her in 2010; her two sons, Hans and his wife Wendy and Roy and his wife Pam; Six grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral arrangements are private with private burial in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
