Frances Adams Besmer

Frances Besmer, age 86, of Manchester, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012, at the AristaCare Long Term Care Center in Whiting, NJ. She was born on July 19, 1925 in New York , NY and resided there through her childhood. She was a resident of Westerville, OH, before moving to Manchester in 1969. Frances was a devoted homemaker and a loved caring for all children. Along with her late husband, she was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church for over 42 years. Frances also enjoyed crocheting. Frances was predeceased by her beloved husband Lawrence in 2005, and is survived by her 4 children, Lawrence Besmer, II., Gary Besmer, Barbara Neuberger, and Joseph Besmer; 2 brothers, Patrick and Michael Hartigan; and a sister Helen Proctor; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from Monday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1500 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ 08753. Her funeral service will be conducted in the church at 6:30 p.m. Cremation will be private followed by inurnment in the church’s Garden of Remembrance at a later date.
