Frank Joseph Maffei

Frank Joseph Maffei, age 86, of Lakewood, NJ passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 at home. Frank was born February 28, 1936. Frank was raised in North Bergen, NJ and he was a resident of Verona, NJ for 40 years prior to moving to Lakewood in 2012. He was a graduate of N.J.I.T. receiving his M.B.A. in mechanical and chemical engineering degrees. He retired as a project manager for Lumus in Bloomfield, NJ after over 30 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family and diligently providing for them all. Frank was always ready with a joke and looking to find a dance partner while at family gatherings. Husband of the late, Silvia M. Maffei; father of the late, Michael Maffei; and brother of the late, Charles, Evelyn and Stephen; he is survived by his two sons, Frank Maffei of Lakewood , NJ and Erich Maffei of Oceanside, CA; and three grandchildren, Jeremy, Joseph, and Jillian Maffei; and many extended relatives and good friends. Relatives and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2022 at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. HIs funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Dominic's Church, 250 Old Squan Road, Brick, NJ 08724. Burial will follow in St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
