Harriet Palmer was raised in Nutley, NJ, married Joseph Palmer, and moved to Toms River, NJ. She retired to Vero Beach and Summerfield FL, and returned to NJ for her last years to be closer to family. Harriet was an avid golfer winning many tournaments throughout her lifetime, an antiques collector and member of the Toms River Antique Club, a talented seamstress who made, amongst other things, the most amazing grandchildren's Halloween costumes year after year, and loved to entertain friends and family. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph D. Palmer, her son Frederick J. Palmer, and her partner Paul Maymon, her sister Shirley Weber Heisler, and brother Russell Weber. She is survived by her brother Frederick Weber, and her three grandchildren Lauren Carpenter, Douglas Palmer and John Palmer, and her three great grandchildren Cadence Carpenter, Sydney Carpenter, and Joseph Palmer. A memorial service will be held at D'Elia Funeral home from 12-2pm on Friday, October 14th. Donations can be made in her memory to Habitat for Humanity.
