

James A. Huff, age 62, of Lakewood, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ.He was born on October 15, 1952 in Teaneck, NJ, and was the son of the late Evelyn and Clayton Huff. James was raised in Bricktown, NJ on the Barnegat Bay. He was a graduate of Ocean County College and the DeVry Institute of Technology. He was a professional European car mechanic before his career change when he became an electronics technician for Lucent Technologies. His hobbies included rafting, canoeing, and kayaking. James was a white water guide for kayakers on the Lehigh River. As a diverse handyman, he enjoyed working on electronics, antique pocket watches, and the family 1988 Mercedes 560SL. He loved Duncan his Boston Terrier. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Kathy; a sister, Emily Huff; and several nieces and nephews, Joshua Cicetti, TJ Hospes, Iain Hospes, Melanie Adams, Taylor Adams, and Riley Adams. Relatives and friends will be received from 12 to 1 p.m. on Monday at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. A celebration of James’s life will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
