
Mrs. Jean K. Carlock, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family February 2, 2011 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. She was born in Sayre, PA and has lived in Toms River for the past 26 years. Jean was a Registered Nurse for the Scotch Plains Board of Education for many years. She also volunteered for many years at the Lehmann School in Lakewood along with the Primary Learning Center in Brick. Jean was an avid quilter and member of the Beachplum Quilters group who have made generous donations of their craftwork to several non-profit children’s organizations. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors: Jean is survived by her husband James G. of 66 years, three daughters, Lee Cooper, Terri Huizing and her husband Barry, Jean Ann Carlock, a brother, Charles Stafford, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.
Services: Friends may call Saturday, February 12 from 1-3 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 12 at 3PM at the funeral home.
