Jim Frankewicz

James “Jim” Leonard Frankewicz, age 71, of Jackson, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at his residence. Jim was born on May 5, 1944 in Newark, NJ, and he was the son of the late Victoria and Stanley Frankewicz. He spent much of his life in the Down Neck section of Newark, NJ, before moving to Jackson in 1977. Jim was a New York Giants and Yankees fan, and he was an avid gardener. Father of the late Kate Frankewicz, brother of the late Joan DeGisi, Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Ann; two children, Jill Nix and her husband Jon and Michael Frankewicz and his fiancé Kassandra Siatta; four grandchildren, Gavin and Tyler Nix and Michael and Mason Frankewicz; a dear cousin Carol Stobodzian and her husband Joe; and four nephews, John, Christopher, Scott and Mark DeGisi. Relatives and friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. His memorial service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
