She is survived by her husband Les Lerman, her daughter Michele Lerman Kilfara, her son-in-law Eddie Kilfara, her granddaughters Jessica and Alexa Kilfara, her brother Ronald Shane, her sister-in-law Ellen Shane, and many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Aunt, Uncles, and many close friends. She was predeceased by her son Brad Lerman, and her mother May Wilensky.
Joan had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone at any time. She never put herself in the forefront always putting others ahead of herself. If she was a part of your life you were truly blessed. She had a big heart, a good listener, and was fiercely loyal. She will be dearly missed by those whose life she touched and all who loved her.
