John P. Caro

John P. Caro, 92, passed away March 10, 2011 at Brighton Gardens in Middletown. Mr. Caro was born in Newark, moved to Bloomfield for many years before settling in Toms River for the past 25 years. He was the proud owner and operator of Caro’s Men’s Store in Bloomfield for many years. Mr. Caro also served in the Army during World War II, which he was taken as a prisoner of war for a period time. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all. Mr. Caro is predeceased by his wife Helen in 2004. John is survived by his three children Mark Caro, Donna Schlegel, and Dale Caro and 6 grandchildren. Friends may call Sunday, March 13, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 10AM at the funeral home. Entombment will take place at Ocean County Memorial Park, in Toms River.
