John F. Hogan

John F. Hogan, 68, passed away January 31, 2017 at his home in Lakewood. Mr. Hogan was born in the Bronx moving to Parlin, NJ for many years before settling in Lakewood for the past 46 years. He attended Madison Township High School where he excelled at Football, Wrestling and Baseball and he later continued his athletic career at CBC College in Washington State as a Football Player. John was the owner/operator of Hogan Tire in Lakewood for many years. His true love in life was spending time with his family and was known for his presence at his sons’ sporting events. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle and will be greatly missed by all. Mr. Hogan is predeceased by his parents John and Theresa Hogan and brother, Robert Hogan. John is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara, sons, John Scott Hogan and his wife Heather Primont, James Robert Hogan and his wife Misty and Mark Stephen Hogan and his wife Samantha, grandchildren, James Thatcher, Tucker Lee, Talan Michael, Sophia Marie, Sadie Lee, Bailey Ann and Jaxon Palfrey, brother, Vincent Carrano, nieces and nephews, Sardi Carrano, Gigi Carrano, Frank Carrano and Lisa Hogan and his beloved Pugel “Main Man” Dexter.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 9am – 12pm pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home 1300 Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Noon at the funeral home. Interment will take place at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery in Lakewood, NJ. In lieu of flowers please make donations in John’s memory to the Ronald McDonald House.
