Born in Brooklyn, he resided in New York before settling in Lakewood 12 years ago.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Annie McArdle; and 2 brothers: Patrick and Alexander McArdle.
Surviving are his children: Gia McArdle, Dorina McArdle, Lisa McArdle, and John Porter; his grandchildren: Catherine Norbury, Vincent Piparo, Kristen Brenes, Thomas Brenes, Elizabeth Brenes, Shelby Porter, and Ava Rush; and 2 sisters: Anne Davenport and Catherine Dunne.
A private cremation was held under the direction of D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at a later date at St. Domonic's RC Church, Brick. Interment will follow at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemtetery, Wrightstown.
