Born in Manhattan, NY, he was raised in Howell and was a graduate of Howell High School in 1976. While he was a student at Howell High School, John was a member of the National Honor Society and he played Varsity Basketball, scoring over 1000 points his senior year. In 1980, John graduated from the University of Delaware with his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and went on to study Law at Boston University School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1984. After working for many years with different Law Firms, John opened his first Law Firm in Brick, NJ in May of 1997.
John was predeceased by his parents John Joe McLoughlin and Mary McLoughlin, his brother Kevin, and his favorite German Shepherd, Cody. He is survived by his wife, Louisa Timofeyev-McLoughlin, sister, Theresa and her husband Michael Trainor and his aunt, Theresa McLoughlin. He is also survived by his beloved dogs, Charlie, Cassie, and Lily.
