

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Joseph was the son of the late Anthony and Grace Quartararo. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Joseph dedicated 33 years of service to the New York Telephone Company, where he earned numerous awards for outstanding attendance and work ethic. Through his commitment and leadership, he eventually retired as a manager.
Joseph was known for his humor, his honesty, and for being unapologetically himself. Joseph enjoyed fishing, hunting, baking, making pizza, as well as hosting family parties. He had a great passion for investing and following the stock market. Joseph also loved to travel both within the United States and throughout the world. Above all else, Joseph was a true family man who cherished spending time with his beautiful family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, with whom he shared nearly 60 years of marriage. He also leaves behind his children: Grace (John), Joseph Michael, Nancy (Brett), and Carol; and his adored grandchildren: Brendan, Gabrielle, Nicholas, Michael, and Peyton. Joseph is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22nd, from 2:00–4:00 PM and 7:00–9:00 PM at D’Elia Funeral Home at 1300 Vermont Ave, Lakewood, NJ 08701. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church, with interment to follow at the New Jersey Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joseph’s memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center by hitting the "Give in Honor" option.
