Josephine M. Marchese

Josephine was the cherished daughter of the late Thomas and Marie Adorna. She was a devoted and loving mother to Donna Schultze and her husband Paul McCullen, and Gina Maliniak and her husband Richard Maliniak. She was also a beloved grandmother to Thomas Schultze, his wife Anne Marie, Spencer Schultze, Brittanie Stilwell and her husband Jonathan, and Madison Maliniak. Known fondly as Grandma Joyce to her beloved step grandchildren and great grandchildren Samantha Morris and her stepchildren Mychal, Emily and Liam, Carl McCullen, Krystal Hoffman and her children Kyleigh and Landon, Kathleen Loelius and her son Declan, Mark McCullen and his daughter Elizabeth and predeceased by Thomas McCullen. Also known as Mrs. M by the friends of her children.

Josephine's kindness and generosity touched the lives of those around her. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and will be remembered as a true angel who brought light to everyone she met.

Born in Newark, NJ, Josephine graduated from Irvington High School. She raised her children in Roselle Park before retiring to Toms River and, more recently, residing in Florida. Her passions included selling Avon, traveling, visiting Disney World, spending quality time with her family, and enjoying

Bingo. Above all, Josephine treasured spending time with her family. She took immense joy in babysitting her grandchildren, attending their school events, and being an enthusiastic Cheer and Dance Grandma.

She will forever live on in our hearts, and we will never forget how strong and resilient she was. She has left behind a legacy of love and strength in the children she raised.

A Visitation for Josephine will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at D'Elia Funeral Home; 1300 Vermont Ave, Lakewood, NJ 08701. A Funeral Mass will occur Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Luke Roman Catholic Church, 1674 Old Freehold Rd, Toms River, NJ 08755. Interment will take place at Ocean County Memorial Park.
