Juanita Nieves

Juanita Nieves, 74, passed away October 6, 2011 at Kimbal Medical Center. Mrs. Nieves was born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico and moved to Lakewood in 1957. She worked for Wheaton Plastic as a factory worker, retiring after 25 years of service to care for her beloved grandson. Juanita was a communicant of St. Anthony Claret Church and was a member of Cursillo. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all. Mrs. Nieves is predeceased by her husband Luis in 1978, a son, Herminio in 2011, a grandchild Angel, her close sister Irene and six other brothers and sisters. Juanita is survived by five children, Rosa Garced and her husband Osvaldo, Sylvia Piserchia and her husband Joseph, and Maria Delvalle, Angel and Geraldo Nieves, and ten grandchildren, Tina Castro, Seleina Lynch, Diana Maldonado, Philip Piserchia, Deanna Castro, Johnny Ray Castro, Millie Rivera, Mario Delvalle, Felix Delvalle, Diana Rosado, and a sister Lecocadia Gomez. Friends may call Sunday, October 9, 2011 during one session from 3-7 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 10:30AM at the St. Anthony Claret Church in Lakewood. Interment will take place at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, in Lakewood.
