Judith Ellen Moore

Judith E. Moore, age 76, of Lakewood, New Jersey passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025. She was born in Lakewood, NJ. Attending Saint Mary Grade School in Lakewood, she then attended Saint Joseph High School in Toms River, NJ. Jude then attended and graduated from Georgian Court College in Lakewood, NJ where she majored in Spanish, earning the Medal of Honor in Spanish.

Before achieving her degree and being a student of Georgian Court, Jude taught in the Lakewood Junior High School. Her career led her to also teach at Holy Family School, also in Lakewood. During these years, she met and married her husband, Ellsworth (Toot) Moore, Jr. Their marriage would last 55 years.

Soon after getting married they had a daughter, Jennifer Regina Moore-McGuire. Jennifer would predecease her mother by two years. Through their married years, Jude and Toot would make their house a home, filling it with creatures: a succession of dogs which would be used for hunting as well as companionship (Jake, Dan, Harvey, Oliver, Jeter, and Dudley), as well as a handful of feline friends.

She leaves behind her husband Toot, a granddaughter Tess Olivia McGuire, a sister Mary Jean Martz (Mark), nieces Serena Martz, Sandy Bohack, Brandy Bohack-Durant (William), and nephew Carl J. Bohack, Jr.

Private service and burial will originate from D'Elia Funeral Home in Lakewood.
