Kenneth George Haytas
September 22, 1954 – March 16, 2021
Kenneth George Haytas, age 66, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. Kenneth was a lifelong resident of Lakewood, NJ. He is a graduate of the Technical Training Institute where he obtained a certification in Architectural Drafting. Kenneth worked as a security guard at Kimbal Medical Center in Lakewood and as a Draftsman for Crest Engineering in Toms River. Mr. Haytas served as a volunteer for the Lakewood Fire Department Company #1 for many years, earning life membership and serving as the past president of the Relief Association. He was an avid Yankee and Lakewood Blue Claws Fan. Kenneth enjoyed wood working and attending wine festivals with his beloved friends. He was a quiet man of few words, with a heart of gold and known for his easy going nature.
Mr. Haytas is predeceased by his parents, Michael and Catherine.
Kenneth is survived by his partner in life, Peggy Smith, daughter, Christine Haytas, stepsons, Kyle Smith and his girlfriend Kelly and Brandon Smith and his wife Zarin, granddaughter, Zoe, brothers, Richard Haytas and his wife Anna their children, Michael, Richie and Diane, Robert "Bobby" Haytas and his wife Joann their children, Lori Ann and Julie and her son Joey and Michael Haytas and his wife Carol their children Heather, Josh and Matt, and numerous other good friends and family.
Arrangements are under the direction of the D'Elia Funeral Home. Cremation will be held privately.
