Kesse Akil Francis

Kesse was born in Toms River, NJ on January 11, 1998. He was raised with his family in Lakewood, before they moved to Lakehurst in 2010. He was currently a student at Manchester High School and a former student of Lakehurst Elementary School. Kesse had a natural talent for drawing. He enjoyed playing various sports and loved nature. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Wilma James and Croswell Mighty; his father and step-mother Glenroy and Alice Francis; his brothers: Fabian Francis & Marcus Mighty(NJ); Okon Francis, Gamal Francis, and Jori Francis (PA); Kerel Francis (TX); and his sisters: Dannett Francis & Shamona Cummings (PA); his maternal grandmother, Lynette Hodges; step-grandmother Evelyn James, and paternal grandmother Olive Francis as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

His viewing will be Friday, May 8, 2014, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ. His funeral service will be conducted Friday evening at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Relatives and friends will meet at Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River, NJ on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. for graveside services.
