He is survived by his loving wife, Monica, and his three children, Kelly Smallridge (Rex), Christopher Anders (Cheryl), and Robin Christensen (Todd). He is also survived by his stepsons, Stephen Serao (Theresa) and Mark Serao (Dana).
Larry had seven grandchildren, one of whom predeceased him. He is also survived by his sister, Carol, of Florida, and two sisters-in-law, Susan Kahn and Francis Lezoli, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who all loved him.
Larry was a mechanical engineer and later in his career became an executive with Pratt & Whitney, located in Florida. He was an avid fisherman and loved nothing more than to be on the water in one of the many boats he owned throughout the years.
After retiring, he did some consulting work, but that soon interfered with all the travel plans he and his wife had. He did develop a new hobby: pen-making, designing beautiful pens out of many woods and acrylics. He made over 500, most of which he gifted to family and friends.
Larry will be sorely missed. He was quite a presence whom all admired.
Memorial services will be private.
