Island. Relocated to Toms River, N.J. in 1990. Graduated Far Rockaway, H.S, and
obtained his BS degree from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute and Brooklyn
College.
Former Civil Engineer and a Senior Planner for the NYC Planning Commission.
Life long model aviation enthusiast, builder, flyer and designer. Past President
Richmond Model Flying Club, Staten Island, N.Y, and member of three New
Jersey Model Flying Clubs. Loved playing baseball and remained a life long fan
and successful Little League Manager. Activity in politics included Past President
Bensonhurst Young Republican Club, founding member New York State
Conservative Party 1962, Secretary Richmond County Republican Party, speech
writer and campaign manager. Authored book, "More than a Conservative" and
had over 400 published letters in various newspapers. Combat veteran in Korean
War. Staff Sgt. 235th Field Artillery Observation Battalion. Member of the
Greenbriar Woodland's golf and bowling clubs and VFW Post No.3885.
Predeceased by loving parents Irving and Fanny Katz & his wonderful wife of 66 Years Marlene Katz. He is survived by his sons Dr. Steven M. and Regina Katz and
Darren L. and Lisa Katz and five beautiful grand daughters, Heather, Nicole,
Allison Kristen and Samantha and a handsome grandson, Michael.
