

Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was a resident of Jersey City, Wall, and Manasquan, NJ before moving to Toms River 18 years ago. Mr. Olynick served in the U.S. Marines. He was a member of the Manasquan Elks, the American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus. He also served as a Eucharistic Minister for Holy Family Church. Mr. Olynick was a square dancing enthusiast. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Rita Dorothy Lee-Olynick; a son, Jeffrey L. and his wife Elizabeth; and two grandchildren, Amanda & Natalie Olynick. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, Route 70 & Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. His funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Friday in the St. Mary Of The Lake Church, 43 Madison Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Entombment will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Spring Lake, NJ.
