Margaret Mary Harper

Margaret M. Harper, 87, passed away November 7, 2015 at Bayfront Medical Center, in Dade City, Florida. She was born on January 30, 1928 to Bernard and Emma Wulfekotte and was a lifelong resident of Lakewood, New Jersey. Mrs. Harper is predeceased by her husband of 38 years John in 1989. She was predeceased by her siblings Ann, Bernard, George and Emmy. When Margaret was not taking care of her five sons, she worked as an administrative assistant at Georgian Court College. She was also a member of Theta Nu, a Catholic women’s club, and the St. Mary’s Altar Society. Margaret was a loving, deep caring person who enhanced many lives that were lucky enough to come in contact with her. Margaret is survived by her five children, John (Cindy) of Dade City, Florida, Michael (Astrid) of Middleburg, Virginia, Brett (Cindy) of Jacksonville, Florida, Jeffrey (Lisa) of West Creek, New Jersey, and Scott of New York, New York, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 17 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church in Lakewood. Interment will take place immediately following at St. Mary’s of the Lake Cemetery, in Lakewood. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Captain Jason E. Holbrook Scholarship Fund, at the University of South Florida, 4202 East Fowler Avenue, ALC 100, Tampa, Florida 33620 (Fund number 906004).
