Margaret Moran

Margaret “Peggy” Moran, 83, passed away September 29, 2012 at Oradell Health Care Center in Oradell. Mrs. Moran was born and raised in Bronx, NY she raised her children in Paramus where she raised her family and finally settled in Lakewood in 1992. Peggy was very active in her community where she volunteered at the Friends of the Foundation in Leisure Village and was the volunteer of the month and a member of the Diamond Club in St. Mary of the Lake Church. Peggy enjoyed crocheting, oil painting, making jewelry and helping others. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt and will be greatly missed by all. Mrs. Moran is predeceased by her husband Edward in 2001, brother John, and sister, Alice. Peggy is survived by her four children, Kathleen Murtha and her husband Frank, Colleen DeMio, Bill Moran and his wife Lynne, and John Moran and his wife Jola, six grandchildren, Alexis, Kaitlin, Liam, Nicole, Kellie, and Ashley and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 4-8 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Noon at the Holy Family Church in Lakewood. Interment will take place privately at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Cemetery in Wrightstown. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Peggy’s memory to the Friends of the Foundation of Leisure Village.
