Marianne was born in Jersey City where she met and married her husband of 47 years, Robert. They eventually moved to the Jersey Shore to raise their family. She worked for over 20+ years at Waterford Wedgwood in Wall as a Customer Service Manager before retiring and building her dream home with her husband at the Enclave in Lakewood, NJ.
Marianne was a devoted fan of the NY Yankees, listing all their games in her calendar to ensure she did not miss one. She loved to read, cook and was always on the hunt for a good bargain. She had a soft heart for animals and over the years, welcomed many dogs and cats into the family. But her biggest love was her family, and the sound of her laughter will live on in our hearts forever.
Marianne was predeceased by her husband, Robert in 2008. She is survived by her two children, Cindy Netchert, of Ocean Grove, and Robert Netchert of Toms River. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Ashley and Sarah and great-grandchildren Amirah and Antoine Jr.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 26 from 5pm-8pm and on Wednesday, September 27 from 10am-11am at D’Elia Funeral Home, Lakewood. A religious service will be held 11:00am on Wednesday at D’Elia Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery and Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Mary’s Place by the Sea in Ocean Grove.
