Marilyn Young Ritz

Marilyn Young Ritz, 87, of Whiting, NJ, passed away on Thursday, February 15, at Crestwood Health Care. Born on December 18th, 1930, Marilyn lived in Hackensack for 60 years. She graduated from Hackensack High school and then she went on to receive an Associate degree from Briarcliff College. Utilizing her talents in decorating and design Marilyn worked for Frank Young Inc., she also worked many years for the City of Hackensack Building department and was a longtime member of the First Reformed Church of Hackensack. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy C. Ackerman and Clement W. Young, sister Frances H. Wilcox, husband George Ritz of 41 years, and her dear companion, James Ottignon Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Benanti and husband Anthony Benanti, brother Frank R. Young. In addition she is survived by three Grand-daughters, Kimberly, April and Meredith. Four Great Grandchildren, and seven nieces and nephews. “Those we love can never be more than a thought away, for as long as there’s a memory, they live in our hearts to stay.” In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: American Red Cross and ASPCA
