OBITUARY
Mary Aimes-Troisi
March 10, 1929 – June 21, 2011
Mary Aimes-Troisi, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. Born and raised in Hoboken NJ. Mary lived in Lyndhurst NJ for 20 years and Brick for 24 years, before moving to Whiting 4 years ago. A foster parent since 1967, and co-founder of NJ Foster Parents Assoc. She became a widow at age 49, and moved to Ocean County and successfully owned and operated two businesses: San Marino Restaurant and By Jupiter Video in Neptune. She retired in 1991 to spend more time with her family, but worked part time for American Greetings. Mary was an amazing woman. Over the years she has raised many foster children along with her own. She touched so many lives and always helped everyone. She loved to sing and was always smiling. Family was the most important thing in her life, and always looked forward to Sunday dinners and the yearly family reunion. She was an avid Yankee fan and loved Sinatra. She will be sadly missed by her family and everyone that knew her. Pre-deceased by her first husband Henry “Red” Aimes in 1978, and a sister Rose Silecchia in 2010. She is survived by her loving husband Nicholas Troisi of 17 years, A son Robert Aimes and his wife Kathleen of Howell, a daughter Marilyn Aimes of Brick, 2 step sons John Troisi and his wife Cathy of Toms River, Mauro Troisi of Toms River, a sister Anna Coppola of West Orange, 4 grandchildren Meg, Jenna, Robert Jr and Nicole. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of D’Elia Funeral Home, Rt 70 & Vermont Ave; Lakewood, N J 08701.
