Mary D'Zio

A lifelong resident of Lakewood, she graduated from Georgian Court College and went on to receive her Master’s degree in education from Monmouth University. She retired from the Lakehurst school system after many years. She loved her students and watching them succeed.

Mary was predeceased by her brothers: Larry, Harry, William, Richard, and Walter; and her sisters: Virginia and Blanche.

Surviving are her loving nieces and nephews: Diana Schaaff, Larry and Carol D’Zio, Bob D’Zio, Richard and Sue D’Zio, Henry and Mary Jane Vogel, Bill and Peggy D’Zio, Bart and Deb Mann, and Karen and Kevin Brown; and by her beloved godson, Paul Schaaff, Jr. and his wife Julie, along with many great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood on Thursday from 9:30am-10:30am. A funeral service will begin at the end of visiting hours at 10:30am. Burial will immediately follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.
