Born in Brooklyn, NY, she resided in Manalapan before settling in Lakewood in 1998.
Mary was an Olympic swimmer and won a Bronze Medal in the 1948 Olympics in London. She was also a member of The Village Aires as well as many other clubs and organizations in Original Leisure Village.
She was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1987.
Surviving are her daughters: Brigid Skiba and her husband David of Manahawkin, and Lenore Guy of Jackson; 4 grandchildren: Drew, Briann, Corey & Steve; a brother, Jack Cunningham of Staten Island; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30AM at D’Elia Funeral Home, Rte. 70 & Vermont Ave., Lakewood.
