Matty Scutaro, age 93, of Lakewood, New Jersey passed away on Friday April 12, 2019 surrounded by his loving family in his home. Matty was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and spent most of his life there before settling in Lakewood, NJ in 1999. He served in the US Army during World War II. Matty worked for every newspaper in New York City as a Machinist. Mr. Scutaro was very active in the Fairways community and was known as "Mr. Fix It." He loved gardening, singing, sketching and was known for his love of cars and "tinkering." He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all.

Mr. Scutaro is predeceased by his son , Daniel Anthony and is the last of 9 siblings.

Matty is survived by his wife, Fay, daughter, Diane Braschi and grandchildren, Louis Braschi and his wife Kristy, Christina Braschi and Matthew Braschi.

A visitation for Matty will be held Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. A funeral service will occur Monday, April 15, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Church, County Line Road, Lakewood, NJ 08701. A graveside service will occur Monday, April 15, 2019 at Holy Cross Cemetery, 3620 Tilden Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11203.
