Born in Herbertsville to David R. Wardell and Louetta May Hulse, she resided in Manasquan before settling in Lakewood in 1977.
She was predeceased by her husband Raymond in 1977, and by her sons, Samuel in 1991 and John in 2010.
Surviving are her children: Raymond and his wife Carol of Bayville, Robert of Lakewood, and Betty Ann Burdick and her husband James of Lakewood; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters: Margaret Chadwick and June Hulse.
A visitation will be held at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10AM. Interment will follow at Laurelton Baptist Cemetery, Brick.
