

May was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 7, 1922, and she was the daughter of the late Jenny (Cohen) and Martin Greenspan. She was raised in Newark and has resided in Bayville for the past 30 years. She was an employee of Caldors for many years until they closed in 1995. May was a member of the Woman's Club of Lacey in Forked River NJ. She enjoyed playing Mahjong; going to Atlantic City; various social functions, and mainly spending time with her family and friends.
May is Predeceased by her husband Meyer in 1982, a brother Aaron Greenspan and two sisters Sylvia Feenberg and Pauline Greenspan and her grandson Brad Lerman. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Lerman and her husband Les; a son, Ronald Shane and his wife Ellen; a brother, Sidney Greenspan and his wife Marilyn; 4 grandchildren and their spouses, Sal Shane and his wife Kim, Michele Kilfara and her husband Edward, Tammy Strangio and her husband Jeff; and Ralph Shane and his wife Lisa; and six great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Strangio, Jessica Kilfara, Megan Shane, Sara Strangio, Melanie Shane, and Alexa Kilfara. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews; great nephews and great nieces; and many other relatives and friends.
Her Memorial Visitation will be Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 1 p.m. at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ.
Repast Luncheon at La Bove Grande immediately following. Cremation will be private.
