Michael Joseph Clifford Jr.

Michael Joseph Clifford, Jr., age 30, of Lakewood, passed away on April 20, 2016 in Newark, NJ. Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Piscataway and Manchester, before moving to Lakewood in 2010. Michael was a graduate of Manchester High School in 2003. He was a self-employed general contractor who took tremendous pride in his work. He was a man with a big heart who loved his family dearly. Michael enjoyed camping, fishing, crabbing, playing ice hockey and paint ball. He also loved animals. Michael was a fan of the NY Rangers, NY Mets and NY Giants. He is survived by his mother, Harriet Clifford; his father, Michael Joseph Clifford and his wife Laura; a brother, Chris Gunderud; a sister, Michelle Brower; a step-brother, Ryan Cucchiara; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. His family will offer memories and remarks at 7:00 p.m. Cremation will be private.
