

Born to the late Emilio Cruz Mendez and Rosa Augusto in Puerto Rico, Minerva was a woman of strength, courage, and unwavering love. She lived every day to the fullest, with a vibrant personality that lit up every room she entered. Whether it was through the rhythms of dance, the warmth of her smile, or the passion expressed through her artwork, Minerva embraced life with joy and an open heart.
Proud of her Hispanic heritage, Minerva was an active member of the Leisure Village community in Lakewood, NJ, where she participated in many clubs and cherished the bonds of friendship she built there. Above all, she was a devoted mother to her children; Edith (David), Lissette (George), and Ruben. Grandmother to; Jocelyn, Camryn, Christian, Frank, and Vincent, and great-grandmother to; Jaida, Zoe, Dominic, and Frankie.
Minerva also leaves behind countless dear friends whose lives she touched with her kindness, love and spirit. Minerva’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Minerva’s memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society’s food pantry or to your local food pantry.
A visitation for Minerva will take place on Thursday, November 6th, 2025, from 2:00pm to 7:00pm at Delia Funeral Home; 1300 Vermont Ave, Lakewood, NJ 08701.
