Our deepest heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Amato family. Nick Amato was one of a kind, well loved and now terribly missed.
Nick was my cousin from my Mom’s side of the family. So I knew him from the time he was a baby. He spent a lot of time staying with our family, when we were kids. He was like “the younger brother I never had” and like a son to my Mom Barbara Micone. He remained close to her all these years. He would call her all the time and have two hour conversations, about anything and everything. How she loved this. We kept in touch by phone too, being we have lived in Florida for 36 years. He was wonderful, he always listened, and we often laughed over his jokester antics he played on my sister and I when we were kids. He was always fun to be with.
I have so many great memories of Nick to keep in my heart. I want his family to know how much we truly loved him, and how blessed we all were to have had him in our lives.
