Pat was born July 20, 1933 in Bronx, NY, and grew up in Yonkers, NY. She attended and met her husband Fred at Pace University City Campus. They married on June 11, 1955 and raised their family primarily in Northern New Jersey. She was the owner and operator of The Book Shop in Pompton Plains, NJ. Pat was an avid reader, baker and enjoyed music. Pat spent her summers at the New Jersey shore and winters at her home in Naples, FL. She was known as a great conversationalist and a truly caring people person.
Daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret Walsh; grandmother of the late Leah Rose McCarrick; and sister of the late Jeremiah Walsh; she is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Fred; four children, Gerry and his wife Maryann, Mary Anne Bifulco, Frederick V. Bifulco, and Patty Anne Bifulco; a sister, Eileen Budney; a brother, James Walsh and his wife Betty; a sister-in-law, Mae Walsh; four grandchildren, Nichole, Crystal, Gerard, and Timothy; five great-grandchildren, Jada, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Grace, and Alexus; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday in the St. Mary of the Lake Church, 43 Madison Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
