

Patrick Joseph Blewett, 90, passed away peacefully July 31, 2017 at the Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood, NJ surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Blewett was born and raised in Knockmore, Ireland. He immigrated to America in 1948 and has resided in Lakewood, NJ for the past 15 years. He worked as a Superintendent in the construction field for many years. Patrick was active in the Lake Ridge Community, namely the Men’s Club. He was a communicant of St. Luke’s RC Church of Toms River and St. Mary of the Lake RC Church of Lakewood. Mr. Blewett was an avid NY Giants Fan and loved to golf, travel and spend time with family. Patrick and his wife Marcella traveled to Angulla every winter for over 20 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle and will be greatly missed by all. Mr. Blewett is predeceased by his parents Hubert and Winnie Blewitt and grandson, Timothy Blewett. Patrick is survived by his wife Marcella (nee Egan), children, Mary Jo Collins (Sean), Kathleen Barlow (Stephen), Patrick Blewett Jr. (Bonnie), Sheila Andrucyk (Brad), Denis Blewett, and Margaret Carpe(Andrew), grandchildren, Sean Collins Jr., Matthew Collins, Brian Barlow (Kara), Tara LaForge (Richard), Maureen Barlow, Patrick Blewett III (Allison), Kelly Blewett, John Blewett, Kyle Andrucyk, Kaylee Andrucyk, Gillian Blewett, Justin Carpe, Brian Carpe, Andrea Coffee (Nicholas), Dylan Carpe and Brendan Carpe, great grandchildren, Thomas, Magdalene, Elizabeth, Samuel, Dominic, Hayden, Preston, Mason, Aiden, and Nolan and siblings, Sister Bridget Blewitt, Agnes Sweeney, Nora Blewitt, Michael Blewitt, Breege Bourke (Patrick), Brendan Blewitt (Christine) and Sister Aloysius Blewitt. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 4-8PM at the D’Elia Funeral Home 1300 Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 10:30AM at St. Mary of the Lake Church, 43 Madison Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Interment will take place at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery 1 Honey Locust Drive, Lakewood, NJ 08701. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Patrick's memory to the St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Mary of the Lake Church 43 Madison Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701.
