Ramon Nunez

Ramon Nunez, 76 of Lakewood, NJ passed away at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, NJ on April 14, 2015. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, his family relocated to Puerto Rico before moving to the Bronx, NY. He has been a resident of Lakewood, NJ for the past 39 years. He was employed as a truck driver, working for Jersey Homestead; Colonial and Pugliese Egg farms. Mr. Nunez was an avid Yankee Fan; loved to garden, raising beans and corn. He also raised animals. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Nunez is predeceased by his parents Ramon and Maria Olinda, guardians Manuel and Isabel and his sister, Minerva. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nivia; his children Wilson S.Nunez and his wife Dorothy; Lissette Tift and her husband Tracey and Ramon Nunez, Jr. Grandchildren Lissette, Ariana, Victoria, Tatiana and Ramon; Great Granddaughter Jaylani and his siblings Rosa and Altagracia, Nicola, Melania, Luz, Roman, Manuel, Daisy, Isabelita, Ramona, Nereida, Clara, Carmen, Juan, Fredy, Quivio, Dolorita and Benita. Visitation will be on Saturday April 18, 2015 from 12PM – 3:30PM at The D’Elia Funeral Home. 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ.08701. His funeral service will follow at 3:30PM in the funeral home. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ramon’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
