Richard A. Evans

Born in Scranton, PA, and raised in Newark, NJ; Mr. Evans lived in Old Bridge for many years before moving to Lakewood 10 years ago.

He is a Veteran of the United States Army. After his service he worked as an Air Freight Agent for Eastern Airlines for 25years retiring in 1990. He coached Basketball and Little League in Old Bridge for 10 years. He was also a member of the Italian American Club of Leisure Village, and loved studying Genealogy.

Pre-deceased by his father Richard in 1987, his mother Dorothy in 1993 and his brother Robert in 2005, he is survived by his loving wife Maria of 45 years, a son Richard and his wife Helen of Seattle WA, his daughter Donna M. Evans of Lakewood, his sister Sharon L. Conjurske and her husband Ray of Albuquerque, NM, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting will be held on Saturday October 8th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave; Lakewood, NJ 08701. A Memorial service will be held at 3:30pm the same day at the Funeral Home
