Richard J. "Dick" Sheridan

Richard Sheridan, 86, passed away September 21, 2013 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. Mr. Sheridan was born on December 25, 1926 in New York City. He graduated from Iona College in 1949 with a BA in English Literature. Richard served in the US Army during World War II. He worked for the New York City Department of Social Services as a social worker, retiring in 1991. He was a loving brother and uncle and will be greatly missed by all. Mr. Sheridan is predeceased by his brother Jack, Mother, Nora, and Father, John. Richard is survived by his sister, Eileen Sheridan, sister-in-law, Mary Sheridan, Niece, Kathleen LaFrance and her husband Steve and Nephew Sean Sheridan and his wife Andrea. Arrangements are under the direction of the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 9AM at St. Dominic’s RC Church in Brick. Cremation will be private.
