Richard A Shephard

Richard is survived by his beloved wife; Giovanna of 30 years. His dear children; Steven, Michael, Maria, Rocky and his wife Tina and Vito. His cherished grandchildren; Dylan, Natalie, Jake, Amelia, Sydney, Tyler, Conner, Nicholas, Adriana and Marco.

Rich was born and raised in Kearny, NJ where he graduated Kearny High School and played Baseball.

Rich devoted his life to public service as a Corrections Officer for over 40 Years in NJ and after deservingly retiring in 2012 he enjoyed traveling the world.

The most important thing to Rich was his family, he loved watching movies and was considered a history buff, his family will always remember him for being the one they called if they needed anything. He will be missed by many.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at D'Elia Funeral Home located at 1300 Vermont Ave, Lakewood, NJ 08701. A Graveside Service will take place on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 11:00 at Holy Cross Cemetery; 340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ 07031
