This is how we remember  Bob,  This is Bob in 1978.

We, (Phil my husband and I)  knew  Bob in the 70s  when he was in HS and  later up until 84 when we moved far away and lost touch.  I worked with  Bob at CMDNJ (now UMDNJ) back in  the 70s.  We were pals, he loved beach, the  E. Hanover Swim Club pool, disco dancing, movies, Chinese food.

I’m so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I worked with him at the Navy Base and always enjoyed our conversations and debates. I could always count on Bob’s honest opinion and wonderful sense of humor. We laughed so much and that I will always remember.

Funny story about Bob, and his irreverent sense of humor.  
Bob was a very good judge of people’s talents and character.  He had a penchant for recognizing a person’s most salient characteristic and inventing a nickname for them.  
When we worked together at Lakehurst, there was a person at our command HQ who would annoyingly call Bob about the mundane and insignificant administrative details related to the highly technical work he was doing.  Her name was Paula, and she had a very high opinion of herself.   She called Bob almost daily, and it always started with, “Hi, this is Paula from HQ.  Every day, “Hi, this is Paula from HQ.”  She wouldn’t leave him alone!  I would ask Bob who it was on the phone and he’d say, “Oh you know that was Paula Hindquarters.”   Bob made up very clever nicknames for almost everybody!

Robert was my tock. What a wonderful person. I’ve worked with him for over 30 years. We were very very close. He brought me joy even through all my trials and tribulations. He was always there to cheer me on. We shared a lot of time together - no one knew me better than he did. Working with him was a joy. He  taught me so many things. It’s very hard to imagine life without him. We were  always joking - so much so he made me spray  soda out of my mouth! He loved The Princess Bride + we often laughed about it together. There is no one like him.  His humor + intelligence is inconceivable. I love him very much. Rest in Peace my beloved.

OMG Bob was so much fun to have at meetings. His sense of humor and one liners made those meetings worth going to. May he rest in peace

I am very saddened to learn of  Bob’s untimely passing.   I have known Bob  for forty five years and worked with him at Navy Lakehurst for most of that time.  Bob was one of the brightest people I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with. Not only was he an accomplished attorney and licensed professional engineer, but he also had a delightful sense of humor.  It was truly my pleasure to have known him.  May Bob’s memory be a blessing to all..

The loss of Robert or Bob as I knew him is a painful one that  leaves us a huge void. He was a brilliant man, and an honest one too. He had a deep understanding in what was proper behavior and what wasn’t. Along with his pleasant demeanor and keen sense of humor he was great to be around. 
I was fortunate to have shared an office with him for many years and to have had him as my lawyer. 
He worked as an engineer for the US government for many years. He had his own law practice. and I think he also had an MBA. I don’t anyone like him.
