Robert W. Engel, 72 of Lakewood, died Friday November 17, 2000 at home. He was a comptroller with ANAX Corp. before retiring in 1985. He was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Queens, Levittown and Youngstown, NY., and Bernardsville, Morris Township and Blairstown before recently moving to Lakewood.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Marilyn Gehritz Engel; a son, David; three daughters, Robin Marciniak, Diane Regula and Nancy Hoydich; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Interment will be private. Memorial donations can be made to American Cancer Society, 801 Broad Street, Red Bank, NJ 07702. Arrangements are under the direction of D'Elia Funeral Home in Lakewood, New Jersey.
