Rose Santomauro Santamauro Marino

Rose Marino (Santomauro), age 97, formerly of Jersey City, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in Dania Bch., FL. Born in Jersey City, NJ on July 21, 1915, she was a resident of Jersey City for most of her life before relocating to Florida in 1998. She was the wife of the late Joseph Marino and the sister of the late Anthony, Peter, and Thomas Santomauro and Lee Lardino; and grandmother of the late Cynthia Hayduk. Rose is survived by her three children, Genevieve Scopetto, Michael Marino, and Jody Yankers and her husband Steven; 6 grandchildren, Bill Scopetto, Jeffrey Scopetto, Steven Yankers, Renee Sica, Natalie Day, Danielle Cecchini; and 14 great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 11a.m. to 1:00 P.M. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, Route 70 & Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Rose will be laid to rest privately at a later date in the Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, NJ. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Deborah Hospital.
